BEIJING, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Li Zhanshu, China's top legislator, on Friday encouraged lawmakers to look for problems in enforcement of the air pollution control law and provide solutions.

Four teams of lawmakers were sent to inspect enforcement of the air pollution control law in eight provincial-level regions in early May.

Being briefed on their work in the past month, Li, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, said that the inspections have exposed several problems, such as low awareness and lack of practical protocols and standards.

Inspection teams are expected to find ways to help local governments improve their work, he said.
