HANOi, June 16 (Xinhua) -- An inter-provincial coach carrying 42 people plunged off a pass in Vietnam's central highlands Kon Tum province on early Saturday, killing thee people and injuring 18 others, the provincial police said.
The coach, departing from northern Hai Duong province, plunged off Lo Xo Pass to more than 40 meters below.
In March, another inter-provincial coach met with a similar accident on the pass, killing its driver and injuring 19 passengers.
Between January and May, 7,490 traffic accidents occurred in Vietnam, killing 3,476 people, severely injuring 1,988 people and lightly hurting 3,774 others, said the country's Traffic Police Department.
