LUSAKA, June 18 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Monday.

-- Zambia has called for increased intra-trade among Commonwealth countries.

Judith Kapijimpanga, Zambia's High Commissioner to India said at a discussion held in New Delhi under the theme "Commonwealth: Taking the tide by its flood" that the biggest economies in the Commonwealth should support the emerging economies by increasing trade with them and improving their capacity. -- Zambia and Kenya have agreed to cooperate in tourism, where the latter has vast experience, including the training of 50 Zambian students at the globally renowned Kenya Utalii College.

The agreement came during bilateral talks between President Edgar Lungu and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta which focused on ways to enhance economic and security cooperation between the two countries. (Zambia Daily Mail)

-- The Zambia Airports Corporation Limited, a government agency that manages airports in Zambia, has refuted reports that there was a plane crash at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, the country's capital, involving a small plane.

The agency said the small plane developed a technical fault due to a broken undercarriage which led to the runaway being blocked fir a short period of time. (Daily Nation)

-- The Zambian government said there was no need for the country to experience frequent power cuts because one of the biggest hydro reservoirs was full of water after a good rain season.
