SEOUL, June 26 (Xinhua) -- At least two people have been confirmed dead, with 37 others injured, at a fire accident of construction site in central South Korea, local media reported Tuesday.

The blaze broke out at about 1:10 p.m. local time (0410 GMT) from an underground parking garage of an apartment building under construction in the country's central administrative city of Sejong.

At least two workers at the site have been found dead, with three workers unaccounted for as of 6 p.m. local time. The number of those wounded was 37, including those who suffered heavy injuries.

The blaze was so severe that the blaze had yet to be extinguished for about five hours, according to local media reports.
