TEHRAN, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Iran summoned the Pakistani ambassador to Tehran on Thursday over recent terrorist attack on Iranian border guards which claimed the lives of three and injured eight others, official IRNA news agency reported.
Iran's protest against the terrorist attack was conveyed to Pakistan Ambassador Asif Ali Khan Durrani, according to the report.
An Iranian delegation will pay official visit to Pakistan to discuss border security with Islamabad officials, Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province deputy governor, Mohammad Hadi Mar'ashi, told IRNA.
The attack by armed bandits came from Pakistan soil, which killed three Iranian paramilitary Basij forces and wounded eight others in Mirjaveh on early Tuesday.
Mirjaveh is a town in Sistan and Baluchestan Province. It is the main road crossing point between Iran and Pakistan.
