FRANKFURT, July 4 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 31.53 points, or 0.26 percent, to close at 12,317.61 points.
Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical lost 3.74 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by multinational chemical firm Linde and sportswear and equipment maker Adidas, which lost 1.62 percent and 1.43 percent respectively.
Energy group RWE gained 2.89 percent, becoming the top gainer. Automotive manufacturer Daimler advanced 2.58 percent. Energy group E.ON went up by 2.33 percent.
Insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most traded share with a turnover of 182.37 million euros (212.31 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
