JERUSALEM, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Among 26,000 immigrants to Israel last year, Russia was the leading country with 28 percent, according to Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics annual report released on Thursday.
The second was Ukraine with 27 percent, followed by France with 12 percent, and the United States with 10 percent.
Almost half of newcomers live in the center of Israel, the most advanced and attractive part of the country, in particular the coastal city of Tel Aviv.
