NAIROBI, July 6 (Xinhua) -- The Kenyan shilling closed the week slightly lower against the U.S. dollar on Friday after inflows from various sources declined.

The shilling exchanged against the dollar at 100.75, a decline from 100.70 at the close of Thursday's session.

The Central Bank of Kenya placed the shilling at 100.76 to the dollar, a lower level from 100.72 in the Thursday trading.

Commercial banks, on the other hand, quoted the shilling at between 100.65 and 100.85 with the margins changing slightly.

Forex traders attributed the decline to low inflows at the debt market and from the agriculture sector, making the currency lose momentum after rising in three-day trading sessions

Against the British pound, the shilling declined to close at 133.20 from 133.05 in the previous session. However, despite the decline against the dollar, the shilling is expected to surge in next sessions. Enditem
