MADRID, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares dropped on Wednesday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down by 1.57 percent or 155.70 points, to 9,733.60 points.
A total of 32 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the day.
Media company Mediaset lost 4.68 percent, followed by steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal and Spain's fifth largest bank Banco Sabadell that fell by 3.81 percent and 3.60 percent respectively.
Hotel chain Melia Hotels advanced 0.79 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Technology solutions provider Amadeus went up by 0.67 percent and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas went up 0.22 percent. Enditem
