1st LD: Fuel tank explodes near Cairo airport, no casualties reported

CAIRO, July 12 (Xinhua) -- A fuel tank exploded near Egypt's Cairo International Airport on Thursday night, but there were no immediate reports on casualties, Egyptian State TV reported.

Fire caused by the explosion was under control, the report said.

Xinhua reporter at the airport found that most flights were not affected by the blast.

The state TV said the fuel tank is owned by a private company. Enditem
