TEHRAN, July 21 (Xinhua) -- A total of 11 forces of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) were killed in clashes with the militant groups in west of Iran on Saturday, official IRNA news agency reported.
Eight other IRGC forces were injured in the conflict which erupted early Saturday morning. The terrorist attack targeted a military base in Dari village near Marivan city in Kurdistan province.
Iran's western Kurdistan province has been the scene of bloody clashes between the Iranian security forces and the Kurdish rebels during the past years.
