RABAT, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Morocco will host the first ever Spanish Super Cup match to be played outside of Spain on August 12, the Moroccan official MAP news agency reported on Monday.

The annual clash between the La Liga champions and Copa del Rey champions will be played in the Battouta Stadium in the northern city of Tangier.

In this contest, FC Barcelona will face Sevilla in a one-off match, switching from its regular two-leg format.

With a capacity of 45,000, the Ibn Battouta Stadium was inaugurated in 2011 in a friendly involving local team Ittihad Tangier and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid. Enditem
