FRANKFURT, July 25 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 110.06 points, or 0.87 percent, to close at 12,579.33 points.
Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies lost the most among the blue chips, down by 2.57 percent, followed by chemical and consumer goods company Henkel and Deutsche Bank, which lost 2.52 percent and 2.35 percent respectively.
Housing association Vonovia, multinational software corporation SAP and Deutsche Post were the top three winners, rising 1.09 percent, 0.48 percent and 0.45 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 244.50 million euros (285.82 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
