BEIJING, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Most foreign airlines have changed their references to Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan on their official websites to reflect the one-China principle.

Of all the 44 foreign airlines that have been asked to list the three regions as part of China on their websites, 40 have made the change as of July 25, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said in a statement Thursday.

Meanwhile, four U.S. airlines, United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, reported to the CAAC Wednesday that they were still uploading rectified website content and asked for another two weeks to finish the changes, according to the CAAC statement.

The CAAC has requested 44 foreign airlines earlier this year to change content on their official websites that were against the one-China principle no later than July 25.

The CAAC confirmed that the four U.S. airlines have started correcting their websites, saying it will keep a close watch on the process and decide whether to launch regulatory procedures based on the rectification progress.
