MINSK, July 26 (Xinhua) -- The Belarusian Foreign Ministry on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist attack by the Islamic State (IS) in Syria and the subsequent attacks of terrorist bands on settlements near the Syrian city of As-Suwayda that caused numerous human casualties.
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that inhuman acts of violence against the civilian population in Syria can not be justified and should not remain without a strict consolidated reaction of the world community.
Fight against terrorist and extremist groups should be one of its' top priorities, the ministry said.
"We consistently advocate the establishment of peace in Syria and will never tolerate any form of terrorism," according to the statement.
The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families and friends of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to those injured. Enditem
