25,000 runners expected to race in Qingdao Marathon in October

QINGDAO, July 31 (Xinhua) -- About 25,000 runners will participate in the 2018 Qingdao Marathon, which will be held here on Oct 28, organizers said on Tuesday.

The marathon consists of a full marathon (42.195 km), a half marathon (21.0975 km) and fitness running (about 5 km), the organizing committee officials told the media.

About 8,000 runners will participate in the full marathon, 7,000 people will run in the half marathon event, and 10,000 people will join the 5K.

A total of 40,000 people, including runners, staff and volunteers will take part in the race.
