MANILA, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- A blast ripped through a port in Masbate, a province in the Philippines, south of Manila, on Wednesday night, but there were no casualties, police have said.
Police said improvised explosive device (IED) damaged the Masbate City Port's bridge.
No one was reported injured, police said.
An investigation is underway to determine the motive of the bombing.
On Tuesday, a van rigged with IEDs exploded in Lamitan City in Basilan province. At least 11 people were reportedly killed and seven others injured in that incident.
