NAIROBI, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Monday.

-- A school community in Mwingi town is mourning 10 pupils whose lives were cut short in a grisly road crash on Saturday night. Eight pupils died on the spot, six others were seriously injured, and more than 20 suffered various degrees of injury.

Two seriously injured pupils, who were referred to Kenyatta National Hospital from Mwingi Level Four Hospital, succumbed to excessive bleeding moments later. (Daily Nation)
