NANCHANG, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Marco Fu, Jamie Jones, Fergal O'Brien and Gary Wilson all took time out of their practice schedule on Tuesday to visit Yushan Welfare Home.

The facility looks after disadvantaged people in Yushan County, in east China's Jiangxi Province. Residents were delighted to meet the snooker stars who had sold their cues for charity in order to help the Welfare Home.

"We are very grateful to the local government and Xingpai Group for giving us the opportunity to aid this Welfare Home, which does so much work in looking after local people who are in need of help," said WPBSA Chairman Jason Ferguson.

"We are in this city as guests of the local government and the people of Yushan. We have been made extremely welcome and I am very pleased to see our sport engaging with local organisations in this way," he said.

"I'd also like to thank the four players who were generous enough to take the time to join us today and put a smile on the faces of people in the local community," he added.

Fu, Jones, O'Brien and Wilson will all be playing in the last 32 of the 2018 Snooker World Open on Wednesday.
