Britain secure men's 4x100m relay gold at European Championships

BERLIN, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Britain's Adam Gemili, Chijindu Ujah, Harry Aikines Aryeety and Zharnel Hughes ran to gold after clocking 37.80 seconds in the 4x100m relay final at the European Championships in Berlin Olympic Stadium on Sunday.

Turkey secured the silver medal on the last meters with a national record of 37.98 seconds and the Netherlands got the bronze with a national record of 38.03 seconds.

The European Championships is the first edition of a new multi-sport event, which is jointly hosted by Glasgow and Berlin. More than 4,500 athletes are competing for 187 gold medals until Aug. 12.
