Wu Lei's double help Shanghai SIPG beat Guangzhou R&F

BEIJING, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Wu Lei's two goals helped Shanghai SIPG beat Guangzhou R&F 3-1 on Wednesday in the 18th round of matches in the 2018 Chinese Super League.

Wu broke the deadlock in the 15th minute and scored again in the 46th minute, while Lyu Wenjun fired home in the 64th minute to seal a comfortable victory for Shanghai SIPG. Guangzhou's Israeli striker Eran Zahavi scored what proved to be nothing more than a consolation goal in the 92nd minute.

Meanwhile, Italian striker Graziano Pelle scored twice to help Shandong Luneng defeat Hebei China Fortune 3-1 to climb up to second place in the table.

Pelle's header opened the scoring for Shandong in the 5th minute, before Jiang Zhipeng equalized for Hebei in the 36th minute.

Pelle scored again in the 49th minute and his Brazilian teammate Diego Tardelli sealed the win with a penalty kick in the 62nd minute.
