Over 2 mln pilgrims perform Arafat ritual, move to Muzdalifah

RIYADH, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- More than 2 million pilgrims performed the gathering at Mount Arafat ritual in Saudi Arabia on Monday and moved to Musdalifah, Al Arabiya reported.

At Muzdalifah, pilgrims will collect pebbles for a symbolic stoning of the devil on Tuesday, which is also the Eid al-Adha feast of sacrifice marked by the world's more than 1.8 billion Muslims.

Meanwhile, the traffic department announced the success of the traffic plan for the transfer of pilgrims from Mina to Arafat and has deployed traffic personnel to assist them to move from Arafat to Muzdalifah.
