BEIJING, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- China Islamic Association on Tuesday held a reception in Beijing to mark the Corban Festival.
You Quan, a member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, and other senior officials were among the more than 300 attendees.
Also present were more than 40 envoys from Arab countries, Chinese and foreign Muslim guests, and officials.
Yang Faming, head of the association, extended festive greetings to Muslims nationwide and urged them to contribute to a peaceful and harmonious religion, social stability and prosperity of the country.
