CHICAGO, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) wheat futures traded lower on Tuesday morning over concerns on possibly unstable Russian supplies.

As of 1503 GMT, the most active December wheat was down 9.25 cents at 5.5325 dollars per bushel, while December corn was down 1.25 cents at 3.7525 dollars and November soybeans were down 4 cents at 8.8925 dollars per bushel.

Although Russian officials have denied reports about any limit on wheat exports due to ongoing drought, traders are still concerned that such a fear would cause sellers to liquidate supplies, pouring a large amount of wheat in a short time into the global market.

Such speculation would drive down wheat futures instead of pushing up the prices, said analysts. Enditem
