BEIRUT, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's contracting professors, who have temporary contracts with universities, in the field of vocational training will hold a sit-in next Tuesday in downtown Beirut to demand for their rights, local media reported Saturday.

"The main demands of the contracting professors include rights to get fixed contracts and have access to social security in addition to transport fees," said a statement released following a meeting between a delegation of professors and Bechara Asmar, head of the General Labor Union.

According to the National News Agency, a report was prepared by the General Labor Union and contracting professors, which include all their demands to be sent to officials.

Meanwhile, the contracting professors also met the Director General of Vocational Training in Lebanon Salam Younes who vowed to support professors to get their rights.
