PSV leading Dutch Eredivisie after narrow escape

THE HAGUE, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- PSV became the new leader of the Dutch Eredivisie after a narrow escape at PEC Zwolle and AZ dropped points against Vitesse.

AZ and Vitesse drew 0-0 in Alkmaar on Sunday, with both sides creating some chances, but with little fireworks. With the draw AZ dropped their first points of the season.

On Saturday, PSV booked their third consecutive victory at PEC Zwolle and the team coached by former player Mark van Bommel became the only team with a maximum of nine points after three match rounds.
