BRATISLAVA, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Over 100 craftsmen gathered in the city center here to show their traditional handmade products at the 28th festival of traditional crafts and folk art production, Craftsmen Days, on Sunday.

"This year was focused on the use of wool. It is a unique natural material used for clothing and other products, used in our country for a variety of uses, textiles and other uses," stressed general director of the Centre for Folk Art Production in Slovakia Katarina Tomkovicova.

During the event, visitors could also try spinning on the potter's circle, glass painting, swinging or wire work.

"For the first time, we will present the Cabaj embroidery on cardboard and blueprint production, with 13 clubs from different parts of Slovakia," Tomkovicova said.

More than 120 craftsmen, including potters, chippers, blacksmiths, woodcarvers and jewelers, participated in the festival.

The festival of traditional crafts and folk art production, Craftsmen Days, has been organized on regular basis in Bratislava since 1990. The event seeks to enhance traditional production processes and skills of folk masters for the general public.
