RABAT, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Moroccan police arrested on Sunday two Dutch brothers of Moroccan origin for their alleged involvement in killing one person and wounding two others in a cafe shooting in Marrakech last year.

Last November, two hooded armed men opened fire in a coffee shop before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle, in an operation that revealed later on links to international drug trafficking.

According to a statement from the Moroccan police, the arrest of the two suspects took place in two separate homes in a village near the northern city of Al Hoceima.

The suspects were subject to an international arrest warrant as well as a Moroccan search warrant against them for their alleged involvement in this case.

The two were put in police custody to conduct the investigation, said the statement, noting that international security procedures are ongoing to arrest the main instigator behind this crime.
