Cao Yuan/Xie Siyi seal victory in men's 3m synchro springboard at Asiad

JAKARTA, Aug 28 (Xinhua) -- Defending champion Cao Yuan/Xie Siyi met no challenges in the men's 3m synchronized springboard and collected the second gold medal on offer at the Asian Games here on Tuesday.

Cao Yuan, who won the event with Lin Yue at the 2014 World Cup and 2014 Asian Games, retained the title for China with his new partner Xie Siyi, winning in 479.52.

Kim Yeongnam/Haram Woo of South Korea finished the second place with 412.74, beating the 38-year-old Japanese veteran Ken Terauchi and his 26-year-old partner Sho Sakai by 4.17 points.

China has won all four gold medals in the men's 3m synchro springboard at the Asian Games and three of the five Olympic gold medals in 2000, 2008 and 2012.
