FRANKFURT, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 67.44 points, or 0.54 percent, to close at 12,494.24 points.
Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.07 percent, followed by material manufacturer Covestro and German airlines Lufthansa, which lost 2.29 percent and 1.85 percent respectively.
Tire specialist Continental, multinational chemical firm Linde and automotive manufacturer BMW were the top three winners, rising 0.87 percent, 0.79 percent and 0.51 percent respectively.
German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 214.34 million euros (250.60 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
