BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislator Li Zhanshu on Sunday met with Namibian President Hage Geingob ahead of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
Li, chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, said China is willing to work with Namibia to strengthen the exchange of experience in governance and cooperation in infrastructure construction, industrial development, education and training, culture and tourism, and implement the consensus reached by the presidents of the two countries, so as to promote bilateral relations.
Geingob said he hopes the Belt and Road Initiative and the FOCAC Beijing Summit will open up even broader prospects for Namibia-China relations and Africa-China relations.
