BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislator Li Zhanshu on Sunday met with Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali ahead of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Li, chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, said China will continue to strengthen cooperation with Ethiopia in infrastructure including railway, water supply and airport, as well as finance, trade and investment, to further elevate the two countries' comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership to a new level.

Abiy said the FOCAC Beijing Summit will become a new milestone in Africa-China and Ethiopia-China win-win cooperation and common development.
