BERLIN, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Christina Manning won a close race in the 100m hurdles with 12.72 seconds at the 77th edition of the International Stadium Festival (ISTAF) in Berlin's Olympic Stadium on Sunday.

The athlete from the United States carried a narrow advantage into the finish with 12.72 seconds followed by Germany's Pamela Dutkiewicz with 12.73 seconds.

"That was an awesome race. I just came back from Brussels and my legs were burning, but I committed to this and that's why I thought, I'm just going to do it. The ISTAF is so lively and that's always good for us athletes to deliver great performances," Manning said after the race.

Germany's Cindy Roleder finished third with her season best of 12.77 seconds.

The ISTAF in Berlin's Olympic Stadium is the biggest athletics meeting in the world and attracts annually 50.000 spectators as approximately 180 athletes from 40 countries and regions compete in 15 disciplines. Enditem
