THE HAGUE, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- PSV and Ajax had an easy weekend in the Dutch Eredivisie, with a 6-1 win over Willem II on Saturday and a 4-0 win at Vitesse on Sunday respectively.
League leaders PSV booked their fourth consecutive win of the season. Jorrit Hendrix, Steven Bergwijn, Gastan Pereiro and Nick Viergever made it 4-0 in the first half and after the consolation goal by Fran Sol just after half-time Viergever and Bergwijn added one more goal each in the second half: 6-1.
Ajax also decided the match in the first half already. Hakim Ziyech, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Dusan Tadic scored in a blistering opening 20 minutes and Huntelaar produced his second goal to make it 4-0 in the second half.
Also on Sunday AZ suffered their first defeat 3-2 at Heracles Almelo and Feyenoord beat NAC Breda 4-2 at home thanks to two goals by Robin van Persie. PSV now lead the Eredivisie with the maximum of 12 points, followed by Ajax (10 points), Feyenoord (9), AZ (7) and Heracles Almelo (7). Enditem
