BEIJING, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Zhao Leji on Wednesday met with Madagascar's President Hery Rajaonarimampianina after the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Zhao, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC, said China is ready to work with Madagascar to implement the important consensuses reached by the two countries' leaders and the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing Summit.

He spoke of the need for China and Madagascar to take building the Belt and Road as an opportunity to make new contributions to building an even stronger China-Africa community with a shared future.

Rajaonarimampianina commended the huge contributions China has made to boosting Africa's development through cooperation. He said Madagascar hopes to learn from China's successful experience in governance and strengthen cooperation with China in infrastructure, agriculture and other areas.
