LUSAKA, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- A Zambian national has died after being shot by unknown people at his business premise in South Africa, a statement released by the Zambian embassy in that country said on Wednesday.
The 54-year-old Zambian was shot dead in Germiston seven times by two assailants last week at his business premise in the presence of clients and friends.
According to the statement, the assailants entered the business premise and closed the door before shooting him and fled the scene without robbing the premise of anything.
Police have since launched a man-hunt and instituted investigations to ascertain the motive of his killing, the statement added.
Emmanuel Mwamba, Zambia's High Commissioner to South Africa expressed concern over the incident, adding that the slain businessman survived another attack a few months ago.
