BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng on Thursday met with Prime Minister of Cape Verde Ulisses Correia e Silva after the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) on Sept. 3-4.

Han said the summit sent to the world a strong signal of building a China-Africa community with a shared future and outlined a new blueprint for developing the comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership between the two sides.

China will work with Cape Verde to implement the consensuses reached by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Silva, as well as results of the summit, so as to promote the bilateral relations and China-Africa cooperation to a new level, Han said.

Silva said the fruitful summit sent a positive signal of supporting multilateralism and will benefit Cape Verde and other African countries.

Silva added that Cape Verde and China signed an MoU on the joint construction of the Belt and Road, which will strongly promote the bilateral cooperation on connectivity.
