TEHRAN, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- An Iranian official said on Wednesday that Tehran expects the international community to force the United States to put an end to violating international law, Press TV reported.

"It is expected that the international community does not allow the United States to continue with its illegal and unilateral measures and to stop the country's practice of violating international rights," said Kazem Gharibabadi, Iranian Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Gharibabadi made the remarks while speaking at the September meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors.

He said that the latest IAEA report confirmed Iran's compliance with its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, which is attested to "transparency" of the country's nuclear program.

"While Iran has been cooperating with the IAEA effectively and based on goodwill, unfortunately we have not fully benefited from the deal (known as JCPOA) as we should have," he added.
