BEIJING, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan met Thursday with the Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili.
As this marked the first visit to China by Pololikashvili after his taking office, Sun welcomed the UNWTO chief saying that the Chinese side will enhance cooperation with the UNWTO in all fields and forge ahead tourism cooperation with the organization along the route of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Pololikashvili spoke highly of the achievements of China's tourism development and said that the UNWTO would strengthen communication and cooperation with China and jointly promote the global tourism industry to a new level.
