SINGAPORE, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.07 percent or 2.06 points to close at 3,139.34.
A total of 1.43 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 905.9 million Singapore dollars (about 661.14 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 219 to 168.
The STI index went down 0.63 percent or 20.02 points to close at 3,141.40 on Monday. Enditem
