HAIKOU, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- The 2018 Tour of Hainan cycling race, the 13th of its kind, will be held between October 23-31, organizers said here in Haikou, Hainan province on Wednesday.
The nine-day competition will both start and finish in Danzhou, a western city in Hainan. The race consists of nine stages, with a total length of 1,431 kilometers.
21 teams will be competing, including seven intercontinental professional teams, 12 intercontinental teams and two national teams from Switzerland and Croatia.
The tournament is jointly hosted by the State General Administration of Sports and the Hainan provincial government.
