LONDON, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.42 percent, or 31.82 points, to close at 7,458.41 points.
Sky, a British media and telecommunications company, soared 8.61 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Randgold Resources and NMC Health increased by 6.03 percent and 1.57 percent, respectively.
Intertek Group, a multinational inspection, product testing and certification company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.13 percent. TUI AG, a British leisure travel group, dropped 2.95 percent. Antofagasta, a copper mining group, fell 2.66 percent. Enditem
