PARIS, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.61 percent, or 33.63 points, to close at 5,512.73 points.
A total of 28 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.
European aerospace corporation Airbus Group advanced 3.24 percent. French mobile phone, Internet service provider and IPTV company Bouygues gained 2.66 percent. French multinational company which supplies industrial gases and services Air Liquide rose 2.27 percent.
French food services and facilities management company Sodexo edged down 2.42 percent, the top loser of the blue chips.
French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer STMicroelectronics lost 1.55 percent. TechnipFMC, a UK-based company that provides complete project life cycle services for the energy industry, lost 0.93 percent. Enditem
