SINGAPORE, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.09 percent or 2.84 points to close at 3236.26.
A total of 1.20 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.01 billion Singapore dollars (about 737.7 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 201 to 188.
The STI index went up 0.09 percent or 3.02 points to close at 3239.10 on Wednesday. Enditem
