SINGAPORE, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) went up 0.64 percent or 20.79 points to close at 3257.05.
A total of 1.70 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.36 billion Singapore dollars (about 997.6 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 237 to 149.
The STI index went down 0.09 percent or 2.84 points to close at 3236.26 Thursday. Enditem
