The Chinese nation has achieved a tremendous transformation as it has stood up, grown rich and is becoming strong, which is a result of the courage, hard work and successes in overcoming difficulties of Chinese people of all ethnic groups, united and led by the CPC, as well as joint efforts made by all the sons and daughters of the Chinese nation at home and abroad, according to Wang.

He stressed to fully and faithfully implement the principle of "one country, two systems" and act in strict compliance with China's Constitution and the basic laws of Hong Kong and Macao, as well as support the two special administrative regions in integrating their own development into the overall development of the country.

It is the desire of the people to promote the peaceful development of cross-Straits relations and advance the process toward the peaceful reunification of China, Wang said.
