PARIS, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.85 percent, or 46.92 points, to close at 5,493.49 points.
A total of 34 of the 40 selected large companies lost in the day.
French banking company Credit Agricole tumbled 4.34 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. BNP Paribas, French banking giant was down 3.23 percent. French banking group Societe Generale edged down 2.81 percent.
French luxury goods holding company Hermes advanced 0.85 percent, the top gainer of the day. French multinational electric utility company Engie S.A. gained 0.84 percent. French multinational hotel group Accor was up 0.59 percent. Enditem
