SAPPORO, Japan, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- China coach Lang Ping said here Sunday that there is still a long way to go for the Chinese team after their second straight win at the Group B matches of the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship.

The Chinese team beat Turkey in straight sets on Sunday for their second win at the tournament, following a 3-0 win over Cuba in the previous day.

"It was a tough game. Turkey have made a lot of progress (since our last encounter). We saw a lot of changes (that had happened to them) and that's something that we should learn from," said Lang after the game.

Lang also spoke highly of her own team's performance. "We prepared well, and were good in serving and blocking. Turkey is a well-rounded team and we had to avoid making mistakes and try to earn more points when facing them," said Lang.

"We still have many games ahead of us (in this tournament), and it's hoped that we can learn from these games and improve ourselves," Lang said.

China will face Canada in their third Group B match on Tuesday.

"We have a day off tomorrow and we can have some rest and do some training. There is still a long way to go," Lang said.

China won two titles at the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in 1982 and 1986 respectively. The Chinese team coached by Lang Ping lost to the United States in the final in the previous tournament in Italy in 2014.
