XI'AN, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Asian Basketball powerhouse China snatched two straight wins on the opening day of FIBA U23 3X3 World Cup, topping in the Pool C.
China grabbed all two gold medals of 3x3 event at Asian Games in September. When facing against Turkmenistan, China smashed its opponent 22-6 and threw their fans into frenzy.
In the host team's second game, China led Slovenia 12-6 in the first three minutes. The euro team built a solid defense system later and kept chasing its rival. At last, Jiang Huai contributed two consecutive two-pointers for China, giving the host team a second win of the night in 21-17.
Chinese women U23 3X3 team will begin its World Cup campaign on Tuesday, playing against Hungary.
