JINAN, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian striker Diego Tardelli scored twice to help Shandong Luneng to a 3-2 victory over Tianjin Quanjian in the 25th round of Chinese Super League (CSL) on Friday.
Chinese clubs rely heavily on international players while Quanjian had a hard time as two international players left in the past months. What's worse, head coach Paulo Sousa left Quanjian only one day before the game. Alexandre Pato was the only international player Quanjian had for the game.
Wu Xinghan opened the scoring sheet for Luneng with a header at two minutes into the game. Tardelli scored 11 minutes later to hand Luneng a 2-0 lead. Quanjian narrowed the gap at 26 minutes of the game, as Yang Xu headed the ball to the goal with a corner from Wang Yongpo. Both Yang and Wang once played for Luneng.
Pato converted a penalty to level the score at 2-2 69th minutes into the match. Only six minutes later, his compatriot Tardelli scored the winner with a penalty.
In another match on Friday, Beijing Renhe beat Henan Jianye 1-0.
